Food Illustrations

I am currently working on food illustrations for my portfolio. I thought it might be interesting to show you some behind the scenes stuff on how my work comes together. The photographs below are a little taster and I am now filming some work in progress time lapse videos which i will be blogging about soon.

Greeting card samples for new range with Calypso

I have just received samples of my new designs published with Calypso Cards.

I am really happy with the print and paper quality. They look so unbelievably vibrant, its is hard to do them justice with photographs. I am also really pleased to hear that they have been getting a good reception at the NY show.

Loominous

Loom Bands.

My new Loominous pattern. What can i say? I have been inspired by the Loom Band craze :)

I am definitely supportive of this new craze. I think it's great that children are enjoying being creative and i love the fact that this also seems to be equally as popular with boys as it is with girls, having time away from their computers and other technological devices is a good thing! Viva la crafts!

Loominous was created by combining lots of drawings of loom bands using different materials, such as mono printing, pencil drawings, inks, pens and watercolours. I think the variation in line weight, colour and perspective hopefully make for an interesting pattern? Let me know your thoughts.

My Loominous pattern is available on products in my Society6 Shop
